Colombia Finca El Rosal
El Rosal, "the rose bush". This coffee was produced by Fray David Moreno, grown in the Urrao, Antioquia region of Colombia. His 2 acre farm sits at about 1900 masl at it's low point. Caturra Chiroso is the primary variety on this farm. It's a natural mutation of Caturra and a unique heirloom to the Urrao region. Moreno uses a slow fermentation method, then the seeds are dried in the sun, resulting in a very clean, fruity cup with delicate, winey acidity, a sugary edge, notes of grape, currant and molasses with a rich, syrupy body.
